Hood
The hood is an integrated part of the Thermosaver, but can also be purchased separately. It is attached to the head end of the rescue bag using Velcro. The attachment shows the ideal position of a patient in the rescue bag.
The hood can be removed to be used on injured patients stuck in a car wreck or in a landslide. In this way, the rescue team can start preventing further heat loss from the patient as quickly as possible.
The hood is made of the same materials as the rescue bag itself. On the outside, a wind and water repellent outer layer, then an insulating layer of polyester fiber and on the inside a protective inner layer made of polyester.
