About us

Thermosaver AS is a company that was established in 2019 as part of a research project to develop the next generation hypothermia bag - a rescue bag for hypothermic patients. The project was supported with 6 million NOK from the Norwegian Research Council. The participants were SINTEF, Haukeland University Hospital and AS Hamatec, ASAP AS and Thermosaver AS.

In parallel with the research project, Thermosaver AS has carried out an innovation project with FFI, the Norwegian Armed Special Forces and Innovation Norway. The result is two prototypes of which the Norwegian Armed Forces have carried out extensive tests.

Thermosaver AS has spent a total of around 25 million NOK to get to the position we now have. The Thermosaver Hypothermic Rescue Bag is ready for the market and we are experiencing great interest both nationally and internationally. The interest extends from the public emergency services such as the Police, Ambulance and rescue helicopters to the Civil Defense and the Armed Forces.

The company is building a production capacity for international production and sales. Thermosaver AS is working towards concluding distribution agreements in Europe and Asia by 2023.
